How many cards can I have in a group?
If you only have normal soldier cards in a group, you can have anywhere
from 1 to 3 cards.
If you have an elite soldier card in the group, you can have up to 4 (3
soldiers, one elite soldier card), but the elite soldier card only upgrades the
soldiers, it doesn't act as an additional fighter.
If you have a hero, you cannot have any other soldiers in the group, with
the exception of a creature using the special creature tactics card "large
mount" (this can only happen if you have a creature with the "large
mount"card in a group first, and then add the hero as the mount).
However, you can still only have one hero in a group, so you cannot have
another creature, with or without a rider, in this group. So, plan ahead!
You can have two creatures in the same group (see heroes above for the
exception to this rule), and using special "large mount" cards, can have a
rider on one or both of them. These riders, if normal soldiers, can be
upgraded to elite soldiers, making 5 cards in this type of group possible.
